Birds Before Dinner - Friday, August 12th, 2016

The sea breeze helped turn a hot and muggy evening into a pleasant birding walk at the Meadows. Sandpipers and waders are concentrated in the center pool due to the recent dry spell and low water conditions.  Most of the Purple Martins have left, perhaps to have joined the enormous flock staging up along the Maurice River, where the 15th Annual Purple Martin Spectacular takes place this weekend and next.
