Birding the Meadows - Monday, October 2nd, 2017

Good passerine activity at the beginning of the west path which included Gray Catbirds, Northern Parula, Palm Warblers, White-eyed Vireo, and Philadelphia Vireo. Raptors included Merlin, Peregrine Falcon, Red-tailed Hawks, and Broad-winged Hawk. Along the beach we had a Caspian Tern and several Royal Terns. Ducks included Northern Pintail, Green-winged Teal, and Northern Shoveler. Overhead were "loads" of Tree Swallows. Leaders: Pete Dunne, Chuck Slugg, Karl Lukens, Steve Weis, Pat Perkins, Mary Watkins, Janet Crawford, Marc & Lynne Breslow.
