Birding the Meadows - Monday, October 23rd, 2017

Good variety of ducks including American Wigeon, Northern Pintail, and Ruddy Ducks. Also had Pied-billed Grebe, 15 American Coots, a Common Gallinule, and a fairly cooperative Sora. Off shore were many gulls and terns and quite a few Parasitic Jaegers, one of which gave us good looks close to shore. Leaders: Pete Dunne, Chuck Slugg, Karl Lukens, Steve Weis, Warren Cairo, Bill Boyle, Karen Thompson, Pat Perkins, Mary Watkins, & Janet Crawford.
